* During the 2nd International Green Film Festival, several music concerts and plays will be performed at different parts of Tehran. The festival aims to increase people's knowledge about the environment. Meanwhile, at a special hall in Andisheh Cultural Center, some films about the environment intended for children and young adults will be screened. The festival will be held from February 25 to March 2.

* On the occasion of 22nd anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, 37 universities, research centers and scientific associations will display their latest achievements in the Central Library of Tehran University from February 3-7.

* Kish Island's Khaneh Honar music group performed a concert in Paris on January 22 which was widely acclaimed by the Parisians. Khaneh Honar music group is headed by Saeid Shanbehzadeh.

* On the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the Cultural Week of the Islamic Republic of Iran opened in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The inaugural ceremony was attended by a number of Bangladeshi and Iranian cultural officials. It is worth knowing that several films by Mohsen Makhmalbaf will be screened during the week.

* The Islamic Republic of Iran recently took part in the Vienna Tourism 2000 Exhibition, and its pavilion was highly praised by the visitors to the exhibition. According to a press release issued by the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization, Iran's pavilion displayed handicrafts, wooden works, kelims and books.

* Dr. Shahidi Public Library is going to hold a memory-writing competition in a bid to keep alive the revolutionary sentiments among the young generation. Those willing to participate in the competition should send their works to the library by February 18.
